Experiencing the thrill of launching a web business and learning-by-doing are the purpose of Start-Up Camp Canberra

Start-Up Camp is likened to a virtual barn raising.  Smart, passionate people from all with diverse interests come together to launch a business idea in a single weekend.  Loosely based on the 'Startup Weekend' events organised around the world, Start-Up Camp Canberra takes participants from idea generation through the fundamentals of establishing a business and pitching to potential investors. 

Over the course of a single weekend, teams will be formed, brain storms will result in idea tsunamis, business strategies developed, code written and (hopefully) a web application launched to the world. On the Sunday, your team gets to present its business to the world at a special media launch event and get critiqued by actual web technology investors (even some wizened old characters who actually experienced the last tech boom!).

Start-Up Camp Canberra is an initiative of Lighthouse Business Innovation Centre Ltd. Lighthouse is a business development centre, supported by Epicorp Limited and the ACT Government.
